The 2009 Esteem Award honorees were once again recognized at a special ceremony on Wednesday, July 1st, 2009 at Sidetrack Nightclub in Chicago.

The reception was the official opening celebration for the Windy City Black Pride Weekend which took place July 1-5, 2009 across various venues in Chicago.
