Gender Odyssey is a conference focused on the thoughtful exploration of gender. Since its inception in 2001, attendees have traveled from all over the U.S., Canada, and even overseas.

Gender Odyssey began as a national transgender conference focused on the lives of transgender men.  Over the years, not only has the conference evolved to include anyone interested in the thoughtful exploration of gender, but the founder, Aidan Key has expanded his work to become a full-fledged organization called Gender Spectrum.

Their workshops, events and programs educate, explore, and share ideas related to our lives and gender. A portion of their programming is geared towards the topic of masculinity, but all gender identities welcome including those who choose no gender identification at all and our families, partners, and friends.

Through dialogue, presentations, the sharing of their skills and expertise, they work to create broader and evolving language, social support, and life pathways that support all gender identities. By doing so, Gender Odyssey hopes to strengthen themselves and develop communities that celebrate all expressions of gender at any age.

Gender Odyssey is a place for us and those we love to gather together, share our lives, and learn from one another. It is also a great place for those who serve this community to expand their knowledge and understanding of transgender and gender variant issues.

The components of this organization include two national conferences, support groups for parents of transgender children, seminars for health care providers, and education and training within schools, and curriculum development for grades K-12 encompassing the concept of gender as a spectrum.
